ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Award-winning author, Jamie Carie, releases her fourth book this summer, Love’s First Light. She is the author of Snow Angel, The Duchess and the Dragon, and Wind Dancer.

When she was six, Jamie Carie's parents met Jesus and soon after started a church. It changed everything.

Road trips with her dad—to and from Bible studies across Indiana—were filled with talks of things beyond earth’s bounds - creation and the fall, God and Jesus and the rapture, the earthly walk compared to the spiritual walk, and how we are born for more than what we can see or touch.

As Carie's relationship with God grew, she discovered her heart was filled with songs and poetry. During high school she wrote most of the lyrics for her brother's band. (And she sang them too!)

After college, Carie married, had three sons and decided to stay home with them. While she homeschooled her children, she wrote skits and poems for school and church.

When her eldest turned five, Carie dove into the world of novels. Even though she read romance novels for years, Carie could not relate to any of the flawless, saintly heroines in Christian romance novels. So she decided to write her own.

Ten years later, her first novel Snow Angel, was born. The book won the ForeWord magazine Romance Book of the Year winner and the USA Book News National Award for Religious Fiction and Literature. In 2008, Snow Angel was a RITA Awards® Best First Book finalist.

Carie writes novels about fierce, passionate women; their dreams; their fears; their triumphs. Her deepest desire is to see her readers find that same passion as they follow their destiny and discover deeper intimacy with Jesus.

She and her husband, Tony, have been married for twenty years. Carie enjoys gardening, going to the movies and theatre, trying new restaurants, exploring with her sons, bible study, and talking about anything and everything. She lives with her husband and three boys in Indianapolis, IN.
