ABOUT THE BOOK

From bestselling author Kathleen Y'Barbo comes Millie's Treasure, the second book in The Secret Lives of Will Tucker series, a new set of novels involving romance, adventure, and hidden identity.

Memphis 1890--Bookish heiress Millie Jean Cope is as clever as she is beautiful. Unfortunately, though adept at solving puzzles and cryptograms, she doesn't realize her new fiancé isn't who he claims to be, but instead is a charming scoundrel. The infamous Will Tucker is presenting himself as a British gentleman, Sir William Trueck, though in reality he is a crafty criminal looking for a hidden map to a secret treasure.

Pinkerton agent Kyle Russell has been on Tucker's trail for years. At last Kyle believes he has Tucker cornered, but he is uncertain whether the lovely woman on the con man's arm is an unsuspecting victim or willing accomplice. Finding reasons to spend time with Millie is easy. Keeping himself from falling in love with her is another issue entirely. A fun and entertaining story of how God can shine the light of truth on the most cryptic circumstances.

My Thoughts:
Be happy that is how God made you.”  (p.130)

Millie Cope has a hard time embracing positive words about the way God made her.  Having heard only criticism from her father for years because she loved science, solving puzzles, reading literature and many other unwomanly pursuits, she comes to believe that the only way to escape is to marry someone wealthy enough to take her away from her father.  When a handsome stranger who shares her love of knowledge begins to tell her that she is, indeed, quite special, Millie begins to question whether or not she is making the right decision to escape her father through marriage.

Once again, Kathleen Y’barbo has done what she does best and created a story that is historical, romantic, mysterious and downright fascinating!  You will never find a good place to stop in the reading of this story!  Even when you reach the final pages, you will long for more!  And you will never, ever forget the journey of Millie and Kyle! EVER!

I knew this book was special from the moment the relationship between Kylen and Millie was launched (literally) from the rooftop of the Cotton Exchange!  I laughed out loud several times!  I never ceased to be amazed at the number of secrets that were both kept and revealed throughout the course of this fantastic story!  This story did make me laugh, sigh, cry and lose sleep, and ultimately left me deeply satisfied on many levels!! Truly, you will never forget Y’Barbo’s characters!!  The Secret Lives of Will Tucker is a series you don’t want to miss!!  Especially Millie’s Treasure!  This story is quite a find!!
