About the Book: (from Harvest House)
Warfare...hell...demons...I’m just trying to drive my kids to school and stay on top of the laundry.
What does any of that have to do with me?
You’ve heard plenty of talk about evil. You’ve heard about binding Satan and breaking strongholds and calling demons by name. You’ve heard you should claim your victory in Christ...but you’re not really sure how to do that.
This isn’t a book about evil.
With passion and strength, Mary DeMuth brings balance and insight to the often murky realm of spiritual warfare. As you embrace the abundant life to which God calls his daughters, she’ll tell you why your voice matters for eternity. And on the darkest days, you’ll know that spiritual warfare is about bowing before the Creator, not cowering before the devil. It’s about finding freedom and beauty in the midst of devastation. It’s about the power of God to heal our hearts, to move mountains, to intercede when we’re weary. It’s about crucifixion and a defiant, glorious resurrection.
It’s about truth.
It’s about power.
Join Mary in the beautiful battle, and be renewed on the journey
My Thoughts:
“Concentrating on God’s ability to prevail in spiritual
warfare is a better tactic than studying Satan’s wily ways. We as warrior women must become students of
our amazing God, resting once again in His power over every enemy.” (p. 194)
Amen! This
has been my heart’s cry from the first page to the last of Mary DeMuth’s
Beautiful Battle. She has brought me
tenderly and lovingly, through Scripture and personal prayers, to the feet of
my blessed Savior! I have spent time
studying the Scripture, underlining and highlighting my way through this
amazing book, and found myself in a place where I am able to recognize how MUCH
my Savior loves and cherishes me, and
how He has given me HIS WORD so that I might know Him and find strength
to do spiritual battle every day that I’m to walk in this fallen world. I have VICTORY in Jesus!!
I had the opportunity to sit down with Mary over the
Summer and interview her about this book. (you can read the iterview HERE) She shared with me some of the details of the spiritual battles her
family faced while they served as missionaries in France. Her book goes into greater detail about that
time of spiritual warfare, and she uses that time in her own life as a
springboard to encourage women in their daily relationship with Christ. We WILL have trials in this world, and we
WILL face spiritual warfare, but Christ has uniquely equipped us for the
battle, and if we study His Word, we will learn all we need to know to live
victorious lives for Him!
This is a precious, amazing book, and I will be
forever grateful to Mary for being obedient to write these words of admonition
and encouragement. I want to encourage
EVERYONE who wants to live as a warrior woman for Christ to read and study this
book. You will be so glad you did!!
