My Thoughts:
“[Jesus] ate with us at our tables and explained that he was the bread and wine of our lives, fulfilling the hunger in each of us to know security, unconditional love, contentment, and peace.” (p.56)

I love to cook good meals for my family.  Always have.  And I grew up in a home where our family really connected around the table over a good meal.  It has always been a meal that drew our family together, ministered to friends and church members…a huge part of my life always.

So I read through the introductions of each chapter of Leigh Oliver Vickery’s Food Family Style, and found a solid truth that made a natural introduction to each food group.  The recipes range from very easy, to moderately complicated, but none of them are super out of reach, nor or the ingredients so unique that they can’t be found in the regular grocery store.  In my opinion, that’s a good cookbook!  You are encouraged and gifted with great recipes that will make your family happy.  Truly, a winning combination.

If you enjoy cooking, and you enjoy serving your family, pick up a copy of Food Family Style!  You’ll be glad you did!
