The Reunion by Dan Walsh - REVIEWED - and CONTEST!

About the Book: (from Revell Publishing)

Everything lost can be found.

Aaron Miller knows a thing or two about loss. He's lost love. Dignity. Second, and even third, chances. Once honored for his heroism, he now lives in near obscurity, working as a handyman in a humble trailer park.
But God is a master at finding and redeeming the lost things of life. Unbeknownst to Aaron, someone is searching for him.

With deep insight into the human heart, consummate storyteller Dan Walsh gently weaves a tale of a life spent in the shadows but meant for the light. Through tense scenes of war and tender moments of romance, The Reunion will make you believe that everyone can get a second chance at life and love.

My Thoughts:
“…if only in my dreams.”  (p. 289)

Aaron Miller’s dreams are filled with regret, loss and tragedy.  However, Christ has transformed his life, and now, even though his living circumstances are humble, Aaron lives a life of quiet servitude that makes a huge difference in the lives of many people.  He is unaware of the miraculous things that are happening in the lives of people he has longed for - for years!

Dan Walsh is a master story teller who weaves life circumstances together in a very believable, profoundly moving way!  At first, you may feel as though you are reading a lot of different stories all at once. However, as the novel progresses, you begin to see the entire picture.  I imagine it is not unlike the way God looks at us as we weather the trials and temptations in this life!  And oh, what a beautiful picture Walsh paints of God’s mercy and grace!
The characters in this story have known pain and loss in varying degrees.  Aaron Miller’s life serves as a central character whose  presence just touches so many people!  I wish there were more Aaron’s in the world!  You will feel the same way once you read The Reunion.  Truly.  This is a very precious story!
