My Thoughts:

Traditionally, and by personal conviction, I seldom us any Bible translation other than the KJV. However, I was intrigued by God's Word Translation and especially the format that included the Names of God. I have been using this Bible for several weeks now, and I'm convinced that this translation and its study helps can be of great use to believers at any point in their spiritual journey.

I have particularly been impressed with the easy access to the names of God within the text. The believer has the original language translated, but the writer's go on to explain how and why this particular name of God was used in the specific portion of Scripture. With that information, and being able to read the transliterated name within the text, the believer gains a much deeper level of understanding. There is also a brief and personal application and testimony on the two-page spread and even a personal prayer fashioned around the meaning of the name. All key scriptures pertaining to the name are also listed.

The information about the name of God makes this a treasure trove for believers! But this Bible has even more to offer! The beginning of each book of the Bible has an itroduction that provides historical context of the time period in which the book was written. It also includes prominent themes that run throughout the book of the Bible. The believer is able to enjoy their time in God's Word in a more personal and meaningful way than ever before!
