Uncovered by Susie Davis - REVEIWED

ABOUT THE BOOK (from the publisher)

Having a happy and sexually satisfying marriage isn't work--it's fun!

Uncovered shares the secrets of understanding your husband and making your marriage your top priority using biblical wisdom, practical sense, and a bit of feminine charm. With plenty of wit and realistic advice, Susie Davis shows you

  • how to get over your naked self and love your body
  • what "speed sex" is (hint: it doesn't mean breaking records)
  • the importance of letting your husband be a man
  • how to move from roommate to playmate
  • and much more

Each chapter also includes a top secret section called The Male Room where real married men reveal their true feelings about their wives and marriages.

If you're ready to improve your relationship--and have fun--with the most important person in your life, this is the book for you.

MY THOUGHTS:

This is a change of pace for me! Uncovered is a neat book that frankly covers issues of marital “bliss” that need to be addressed. For instance, a chapter entitled “From Roomate to Playmate: Does your Husband Have a Girlfriend?” or “Marriage and Multitasking: Developing a One Track Mind.” The message? Just because you are a married woman, and probably mother of children… it doesn’t mean that you stop feeling sexy, acting sexy and behaving like the girlfriend your man needs.

Needs. That’s it. Susan Davis discusses the needs of men and women – husbands and wives – and the many things that affect those needs and the desire to fulfill them. Did you know stress has the totally opposite effect on men and women in the area of desire? It didn’t surprise me – as we are totally opposite in most every other way – but get this….when you’re stressed, you know the one thing you don’t want? Well, it’s the one thing that can physically lower your stress levels!! Go figure!

Uncovered’s frank discussions are followed by thought-provoking questions for the ladies and then a section called the “Male Room” where husbands answer insightful questions about their wives. So, if it has been a while since you really considered this area of your marital life…consider it again, afresh and anew! You might be more than pleasantly surprised at what you discover!!
