My Thoughts:
This book is practical, honest and places today's political/economic/social design in biblical context. Jeffries' offers insight that is somehow encouraging and comforting rather than feeding the panic that seems to want to thrive in these uncertain days. He offers practical ideas and thoughts on many topics, but one in particular - how Christians should evaluate and decide whom to support in this most critical of election years.
Truly, there is nothing new under the sun, and today's critical problems have been faced by Christians before. However, Christ's second coming has never been nearer, and we are called to be salt and light in a rapidly declining culture. I fully believe God has brought this book to publication for just such a time as this, and every Christian who is registered to vote - who cares about the future of our nation and our freedom to worship - should read this book!! I'm not being dramatic, just honest. It is thought provoking and convicting. I praise God that this book in in print in 2012!!
