My Thoughts:
I want you to meet my Lord.”  (introduction)

Rose Chandler Johnson has a daily, practical, honest relationship with her Heavenly Father.  She wants to encourage readers to develop this same intimate relationship in their own lives.  Johnson’s devotionals are three pages each (around 56 in the book), and she briefly explores daily topic that range from knowing God’s will, dealing with fear, and walking away from evil to training up children to follow God.  (her titles are much cuter and more creative!)  She gives journal prompts, prayer focus ideas and Scripture passages to read and consider.

This devotional will be good for believers at any stage of their journey with God from beginners to more mature believers.  If you like structure combined with succinctness, this is the devotional for you!  Depending upon what you bring to the day, that will determine what you are able to extract for the main focus.  This would make a great graduation gift for those leaving high school or college and taking their next step into life.

This devotional has a conversational, intimate feel to it, and you will leave its pages feeling as though you just shared a glass of sweet iced tea with a friend.  Refreshed!  Encouraged! Filled!
