This book contains two love stories with a "classic" feel. The first is set in the Appalachian Mountains and centers around two people caught in the struggle between doing what they want to do and what they feel God wants them to do. The time period is just after WWII, and the rural setting really appealed to me. My heart kind of got wrapped up in the story, and it was a lovely holiday read. This is a story of discovery, renewal and learning to depend on God's direction for our lives - even when it doesn't make sense to our human heart.
The second story really brings on the Christmas spirit! From the main character to the name of the small town, this story is all about the season. When someone wants to explore Holly's past, she is soon caught up into the process of story and becomes blind the the one who has won her heart years ago. She has to have her eyes opened to what is right in front of her, and the journey is quite memorable.
I can honestly say I have not yet found a story in Summerside's Love Finds You series that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed! This one comes just in time for the gift-giving season, so if you've got a reader on your list, pick up a copy today!
