Yeee-Haw! My heart is satisfied! I have just finished the most wonderful romp of a romance ever written! Gingham Mountain is the third novel in Mary Connealy’s Lassoed in Texas series, and it is truly delightful! In this story she revisits Grant and all of his orphan children, except now she takes you inside this very unusual family.
Bound by a deep love, Grant’s orphan family is enlarged by two in the very beginning of the story. The readers get to know Hannah, Grace’s sister from New York, as she discovers this amazing love that draws Grant to take in orphans as they reach the end of the orphan train. There is also a conniving, greedy couple tucked in among the quiet little town, and between the town overcoming their prejudice against those who are different, Grant battling his own feelings as they grow and change toward Hannah, Hannah overcoming her fear and reaching out to the town….well, dear reader, this book is an absolute treat!!
Mary Connealy has truly written herself into my heart with GinghamMountain! Once again, you will find laughter, tears, and tender family moments that will make you understand all over again how precious the gift of family truly is in this life! Mary’s characters are full of life and love for the Lord, and even though they often stumble over their own weaknesses, God continues to draw them together so that they form a family of the truest kind!
