Faith -N- Fiction Saturday - Dream Movie
Today's Question:We've been blessed to finally start seeing some of our favorite Christian books come to life on film. So far, these have been largely low budget films, but they generally get the heart of the books across. But my question for you is...if you had an unlimited budget, what Christian fiction book would you like to see made into a film? Who would you cast in the main roles? Would you have a preference on director? Any songs you'd like to see on the soundtrack?
Okay, Amy! I'm going to have to steal your answer: Mark of the Lions Trilogy by Francine Rivers hands down! I want the guy that did the Lord of the Rings to direct it and do the vast, detailed job he did on that trilogy. I want the message, the reality of that series to shine through just like the books. I think it would be sooo fantastic!! Never before or since has a set of Christian fiction books made such an impact on me.
You and I must be twins...Dekker's Circle Trilogy would be awesome too, but I fully agree..you'd have to have a budget bar none so it wouldn't look cheap.
I don't know much about actors/directors, but with an unlimited budget, just get the best of the best and make it shine!!!

You and Amy do seem to think alike with your choices.

ReplyDeleteI still need to read that one!
ReplyDeleteI loved The Mark of the Lion series also.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was one of the last ones who has not read The Mark of The Lion series! I just got book one this week.
ReplyDeleteOhhh - that is another popular suggestion today - I haven't read that series yet either - I'm going to have to go look for it. I just love some of the books I've read by Francine Rivers!
