Today is the final day of Book Blogger Appreciation Week! There have been tons of awards, even more give aways and just a LOT of fun! I am so thrilled to know there is a community of folks who love books, who love to read, who love to blog and talk about the books they love!
As I have gone around the blogosphere, I've learned that I'm still very green when it comes to blogging! I'm a bit technically challenged, so I'm going to take some wise advice and find a mentor who can help me expand my blogging experience and be the most effective book blogger I can be! My Friend Amy's blog alone is worth this experience! She shares so much! And talk about an eclectic collection of tastes - Bookish Ruth is also in my bookmarks now for the sheer diversity of books that she shares! Amazing! I had NO IDEA there was such a thing as an Online Publicist but given the fact that book blogging has grown into an effective marketing tool, I wasn't too surprised to find this site among Amy's BBAW collection.
I think the main thing I've learned is that blogging is about community. Each of us have different tastes, different worldviews, different reading preferences. However, when we come together to blog books, we display the positive, negative and depth of what books are all about. To me, that is a confimation - I'm going to keep on blogging books and try to grow and learn along the way.
My heartfelt thanks to Amy for a terrific experience! In my book, your blog wins top honors - hands down!
This week has been so much fun. I forgot to mention the great awards this week.
ReplyDeleteI found Bookish Ruth this week too!
ReplyDeleteAnd Lisa Roe at Online Publicist is wonderful to work with.
I'm glad you enjoyed this week - I know I did as well!
I'm praying for your aunt, your mom, you and your family. This will not be an easy journey. I pray that God will bless you all. I'm sorry that you all have to deal with cancer. I wish no one had to. There's nothing really anyone can say, just remember that you are in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThe LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you,
The LORD lift up His countenance on you,
And give you peace.
-Numbers 6:24-26 (NASB)
Suprisingly, I didn't actually go to the conference. I spent pre- conference time with my buddy who lives there, helped her shuttle people from airport to hotel. I left yesterday, a few hours before the conference started. We have a good friend who is getting married tomorrow (at home) so I couldn't do the conference. But I did have a great visit. I don't recommend snapping photos while driving.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know I'm praying for you and your time with your mom and aunt. May the Lord give you His peace through this time. I'm so thankful that your aunt knows the Lord and that you have the promise of seeing her again one day.
ReplyDeleteIn Christ,
