MY THOUGHTS:
This is a very well-written book, but it left me with kind of mixed feelings. While I don't mind spiritual battles, angels/demons ect....these young people, chosen as "Watchers" were just a rough crowd. Really rough. And for the role they were "chosen" to play in the defense of mankind - well, it just seems they would have been at least slightly aware of God and His work in their life. Well, I know God chooses to use whom He will, and that often includes the most unlikely characters. However, this bunch...single parents, thugs, drug users....not exactly the kind of people I'd want my teens spending hours with in a book.
There is a LOT of action in this one simply due to the fact that the angels and demons are REALLY trying to one up one another. So the action-packed, fast-paced part I liked. The writing itself is really good too, but the overall feeling I was left with was dark, and uncomfortable. Not something I wanted to come back to. And that is not what I expected either. Like I said, very mixed feelings about this one.

I read a few pages of this one and stopped. Books like this mess with my mind. My daughter thinks it sounds really interesting. I'll probably have her read your review, however, just to be sure she's aware of the elements you mentioned.
