ABOUT THE BOOK

A mysterious book with a dangerous secret.

An evil brotherhood out to conquer the world.

One man stands between them . . . with his family in the balance.

In the twelfth century, Henry the Lion collected the rarest relics in Christendom. And to protect his most precious acquisitions, he encoded the whereabouts in a gorgeous illuminated manuscript called The Gospels of Henry the Lion.

The manuscript has been showing up and disappearing ever since. No one knows where the relic has been hidden . . . or its ultimate power.

Only one man holds the key to the mystery.

He's carrying it in his briefcase at his son's school for show-and-tell, and he thinks it's a fake. But he's about to find out just how real it is.

Because the wolves are rapidly closing in. And if August Adams can't decode the secret in time, the world's balance of power will forever be altered.

MY REVIEW:
“What is it Oscar Wilde said? ‘Whenever a man does a thoroughly stupid thing, it is always from the noblest of motives’” (p. 267)

Every one of the main characters in Matt Bronleewe’s latest novel, House of Wolves, seems to have a noble motive for their activity. August is trying to protect his son and his ex-wife. Cleveland is trying to keep power from a deadly secret society. Ivy is trying to uncover the identities of her family members. April is trying to determine if she loves Alex enough to marry him. The Black Vehm is trying to uncover and reclaim relics they believe to have been stolen from them. Each character has a motive deemed worthy to justify any of their actions – no matter how deadly.

Once again, Matt Bronleewe has written a book that moves with frantic pace through a series of unbelievable plot twists! Indiana Jones (or in this case, August Adams) meets the Black Vehm!! The most amazing thing about this book, and his first novel Illuminated, is that the research that lies behind his fiction is pretty scary too!! I believe the old saying “truth is stranger than fiction” definitely applies to Matt Bronleewe’s work! This man must be having the adventure of a lifetime writing his novels!

If you enjoy fiction loosely based on very real facts, don’t miss this fantastic suspense thriller! Matt Bronleewe is an extremely talented writer, and I won’t be the least bit surprised if one day our beloved August Adams makes his debut on the silver screen! I am personally claiming the number one slot in the Matt Bronleewe fan club! House of Wolves is not to be missed! Purchase your copy here today

I'll sit next to you, Kim. I loved House of Wolves. It's better than Illuminated. Matt really hit his stride. Dang funny, too. I love sarcastic characters. National Treasure fans should look into it, and it WILL be a great film...how can Hollywood not option it? Really?

Oh. I almost forgot why I dropped in. Great review and interview.

Whole-heartedly agreed!!! Bronleewe’s follow up novel to “Illuminated,” the action-packed thriller “House of Wolves,” does not fall short of expectation. I couldn’t put this book down. August Adams is a highly likeable, intelligent protagonist who doesn’t want for adventure and mystery. Bronleewe combines a theme of redemption into the heart-pounding thriller, making this series as much about the individual characters and their struggles, as the overall battle of good versus evil.
